HOBOKEN, N.J. — More than 200 residents celebrated the opening of the landscaped rooftop deck of Independence at The Shipyard recently with a cocktail party showcasing the community's 25-meter outdoor swimming pool and hot tub.

With spectacular Manhattan skyline and Hudson River views serving as the backdrop, residents enjoyed live music, great food and the opportunity to socialize with one-another in a friendly, neighborhood environment.

The management-planned event is yet another example of the lively social atmosphere that exists at the new luxury rental community located on Hoboken's northern waterfront, according to Applied Development Company, the community's developer.

"The party allowed many residents to meet each other for the first time and establish new friendships and relationships while also unveiling the landscaped deck and pool, one of the community's outstanding amenities," notes Michael Barry, an Applied principal.

More than 75% of the elegant residences at Independence are leased as renters continue to respond to the community's spacious designs, Manhattan-style amenities and services and an unparalleled waterfront location.
