LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Long Branch residents and visitors will have plenty to do in the upcoming months as Pier Village, the new mixed-use community set alongside this Monmouth County city's beachfront, will host a variety of exciting events and activities throughout the spring and summer seasons.
Open to the public, the events schedule kicks off with "The Great Easter Egg Hunt!" on Saturday April 15th. Starting at 11 a.m., the fun-filled event will feature a visit from the Easter Bunny, a free Concert, an Easter Egg Hunt for children, and over $2,000 in prizes donated by the more than 30 quaint shops and restaurants at Pier Village.
On Friday, May 5th, Pier Village will be the site of a luncheon and auction to benefit the New Jersey Repertory Company. The Chinese Auction begins at 10 a.m. when raffle tickets go on sale at McLoone's Pier House Restaurant. Featuring generous gift packages donated by the shops and restaurants of Pier Village, the drawing will take place at the luncheon starting at 12:30, also at McLoone's. Starting June 14th, Pier Village will begin hosting "Wednesday Night at the Movies". Free for the entire family, the films will be shown at Festival Plaza located in the center of the community, along Ocean Avenue. All movies will be rated "G". Scheduled dates for the "Wednesday Night at the Movies" are: June 28th, July 12th, July 26th, August 16th, and August 30th.
On Fridays, the community will host concerts featuring entertainers from The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation. Taking place at Festival Plaza, the "TGIF Friday Jazz Concerts" are scheduled for June 9th, June 23rd, July 7th, July 21st, August 4th, August 18th.
