Applied Development Company has recently started construction of a 130 unit mixed income building on the site of the former State Theater in Jersey City. The development will contain 100 residences available on a market rent basis and 30 units available to moderate income households. The project will also contain 15,000 square feet of street retail and a brand new 400 space parking deck, which will serve both residents and neighborhood shoppers. The project represents the first large scale new construction project in Jersey City's Journal Square in over two decades, and it is expected to spur the revitalization of Jersey City's Journal Square area.
